- You always buy organic. Buying organic fruits and vegetables may seem smart, but buying organic eggs makes no difference. Remember that everything labeled “organic” is not always healthier.
- You wake up at 4 am to jog. Doctors recommend 7-8 hours of sleep for normal body functions. If you are missing this just to jog, you are on the wrong path to health.
- You take supplements for every vitamin and mineral. Our bodies absorb nutrients best from foods. Supplements are necessary only in cases of severe deficiencies.
- You hop at the door of your doctor every month for tests. Annual medical check-ups are fine, if you are healthy.
- You pop an antibiotic at the first sneeze.
- You suffer from germaphobia, the fear of germs. You wash hands every hour and use a hand sanitizer every 30 minutes. Remember, a completely sterile environment can put your immune system “out of job,” which can spell trouble.
